There’s some fab stuff going down at Tyne Bank Brewery this November including ‘Celebrate Everything’ a showcase event that looks like the gig of the month to my eyes (and ears).

Oh, man! The ‘Celebrate Everything’ all-dayer has the kind of line-up that’ll have the hairs on the back of your neck standing up and yelling “Woo! Woo! Woo!” I’m talking about Dylan Cartlidge (pictured) who featured on BBC Two’s brilliant ‘The Mighty Redcar’ documentary. This fella sings, he raps, he mixes up vintage soul and hip-hop and comes over like a one-man Outkast. Yes, really. And this gig would be exciting enough if it was just Dylan but it’s also packing Van Houten (psychedelic pop), Mouses (this exhilarating duo have demarked some space for themselves somewhere between The Jesus and Mary Chain and Weezer), Ronald Raygun (laissez-faire funk), Travis Shaw (Salturn’s finest alt-rocker), Mt. Misery (cute folk for cute folks) and more besides. Also looking good at Tyne Bank this month is a gig from punky folkers The Men They Couldn’t Hang (28 November, £16.50) and, for clubbers, Daze, a warehouse party featuring Rich NxT (FUSE, London), Doug Moiser, Ebb & Flow and more (30 November, £9/£11).

Celebrate Everything, Saturday 9 November, Tyne Bank Brewery, 375 Walker Road, Newcastle, 1pm-late, £9. tynebankbrewery.co.uk
