Newcastle based singer-songwriter Ceitidh Mac can do no wrong in our eyes and she’s on tour across the UK in November. Bunting up!

If you cast your mind back through the mists of time to September 2019 (ie two months ago) you might have noticed that we awarded our coveted Single of the Month slot to Ceitidh Mac. In said review I came over all unnecessary when describing Mac’s beguiling alt-folky ways and means, in which she wields a cello to startling effect, and combines it with interesting bits and pieces of other instrumentation including a nice bit of electronica. The song itself, ‘Bus Station’, is an impressionistic piece of storytelling that was written while she was busking in Berlin. And if those Berliners had anything about them, she would have made a fortune because Mac is one of those captivating performers that simply demands your attention. She’s launching her latest tour in Newcastle and it should be a real doozy as it’s taking place within the lovely environs of Prohibition Bar on Pink Lane. Gonna be special.
