mgove.jpg Brexit-Wrapped Food Shortages

On Sunday I watched Michael “I’m against proroguing parliament, it would be wrong” Gove on the telly. He was talking about the possible Brexit-wrapped food shortages in a couple of months’ time and claimed that there definitely wasn’t going to be any. I, for one, like to take Michael “I’m against proroguing parliament, it would be wrong” Gove at his word. It is, after all, his bond. When he says something he really means it and I know that he would rather resign than go against a belief he has previously clearly stated. He also said that if parliament passes any laws that the government doesn’t like, then the government could totally ignore them. I may be wrong but I’m sure there’s a special name for that sort of political ideology, whereby a government essentially puts itself above the law and wants to control all aspects of society without scrutiny. Still, in amongst all of this kerfuffle I am looking forward to the re-release of one of my favourite ever singles: The Prorogues featuring Kirsty MacColl, ‘Fairytale of Neo Nazis’.
