Teesdale comedy promoter ‘Funny Way To Be’ have announced their fab Autumn/Winter programme at The Witham in Barnard Castle and it’s something of a trove.

And they’re kicking things off in fine style in September with one of the best-loved stand-ups on the circuit, Mark Watson (14 September). He’ll be fresh off the back of his Edinburgh run and wondering with alarm at the state of the world his children are growing up in. Two Funny Way To Be faves follow in October in the shape of John Kearns (12 October), who is the only comedian to have won both the Edinburgh Comedy Awards for Best Show and Best Newcomer in the awards history, and Nick Helm (pictured – 19 October), with his new show Phoenix From The Flames. Lost Voice Guy has already sold out (as has Jack Dee) but you can still see another Britain’s Got Talent finalist, Daliso Chaponda (2 November). Looking further ahead you can also check out Andy Parsons (6 December), who is a big favourite on Mock The Week, Live at the Apollo and Q.I. That’s 2019 sorted, but if you check their website then you can grab all the goodies they’ve got lined-up for early 2020, too.
