waitandbleed19.jpg Gonks! On the clubs page?

If you’re wondering: what on earth are Slipknot doing on the clubs page, then wonder no more. They’re here to let you know about ‘Wait and Bleed’ a new night coming to World Headquarters that is going to concern itself with all things nu metal.

Remember the early 2000s? Donald Trump being President was something only the writers of The Simpsons could imagine; your mobile was cool if it flipped open like the communicators on Star Trek; and people thought that 3D films were the way forward. It was also a time when hip-hop and metal had plenty of cross-fertilisation going on and that is what this night is all about. You can expect to hear the likes of Korn, Deftones, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Mudvayne, Static-X, System Of A Down, Disturbed, P.O.D., Drowning Pool, Dope, Soulfy, Spineshank, Marilyn Manson and, of course, the aforementioned Slipknot. Dress code: strictly shirt and tie (not really).

Wait and Bleed, Friday 20 September, World Headquarters, Carliol Square, Newcastle, 11pm, £tbc. welovewhq.com
