thisisnot19.jpg Can we mention Autumn, yet?

I know that the sun is still beating down but Northern Stage have such an enticing Autumn programme that I simply can’t wait to tell you about it…

I’m not joking. Northern Stage has an INCREDIBLE line-up in the months just beyond August and I can’t keep my excitement in check any longer. The biggie for me is a new adaptation of THE Sherlock Holmes story The Hound of the Baskervilles. A Northern Stage production if they do a good a job of this as they did of ‘The War of the Worlds’ then we’re in for a treat bigger than anything the titular hound feasts on (11-23 September). There’s too much good stuff going on for me to list everything here but I’d definitely also pick out Friendsical, a new parody musical inspired by the iconic TV show (3-7 September); And She, featuring the always wonderful Bonnie and The Bonnettes delving into motherhood, womanhood and femininity; and This Is Not A Wedding (pictured), with the award-winning Gracefool Collective inviting you to the non-wedding event of the year (13 & 14 September).
