auntfanny19.jpg A fanny thing happened on the way to the theatre

Your Aunt Fanny are an all-female comedy sketch group from the north-east and their latest show is called ‘Minge Unhinged’. Muff said.

If you think that the above headline is slightly scabrous, you wouldn’t believe some of the suggestions we rejected. We don’t suppose Your Aunt Fanny will be too put out, however. As you can probably tell from their latest press shot, you wouldn’t necessarily put them in the “shrinking violets” category. (Point of order: I know lasses usually like to go to the toilet in pairs, but that’s just ridiculous.) Anyway. The troupe are renowned for their riotously funny shows and their latest is a celebration of all things fabulous, ridiculous and thoroughly inappropriate. Nothing is out of bounds (NOTHING!) as they aim to capture a night out on the town with your wildest, oldest, and filthiest friend.

Minge Unhinged: Tuesday 18 June, Assembly Rooms Theatre, Durham, 8pm, theassemblyroomstheatre.org/spare-room; Friday 28 June, Arts Centre Washington, 7.30pm, artscentrewashington.co.uk; Monday 12 August, The Stand, Newcastle, 8.30pm, thestand.co.uk. £8/£6. You can also find Your Aunt Fanny on Facebook.
