Reggaefest 2019 is descending on Middlesbrough in June with some of the most sizzling acts on the scene today.

Let’s talk line-ups, specifically the stop-the-clocks array of talent that is set to make Reggaefest 2019 vibe right off the map. I’m talking Lenn Hammond, who is part of a musical dynasty that includes his father Winston Hammond and his cousin Yogie. His notable hits include ‘Just The Other Night’ and the Jamaican-born singer has won multiple awards. Also playing is Wayne Marshall (pictured) the Jamaican reggae and dancehall artist who has worked with everyone from Sean Paul to Elephant Man. Birmingham’s Claire Angel will also be along for the ride (this world-class vocalist has shared stages with Marcia Griffiths and Gappy Ranks) as will West London’s Sparky Rugged and Mixmaster (Jamrock Cruise). From dancehall to ska, old skool to reggae, this one is going to be overflowing with the good stuff so don’t forget to bring your best dancing shoes.

Reggaefest 2019, Saturday 15 June, Dorman Long United Athletic Club, Oxford Road, Middlesbrough, 6.30pm, £16. skiddle.com
