Beavis. Butthead. Adidas.
When it came to TV animation in the 1990s it wasn’t just The Simpsons who ruled the airwaves. Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head were also cultural touchstones, and, unlike Homer and Co., they didn’t outstay their welcome. The show featured the genius idea of having two dim-witted teenagers sitting around watching MTV while commenting on the pop videos. (Like Gogglebox, if everyone on Gogglebox loved anything remotely associated with heavy metal, violence, sex and destruction.) I seem to remember the un-dynamic duo watching a promo by The Smiths and declaring incredulously, “Who is this guy?” I’m not entirely sure why Adidas have teamed up with B&B to produce this new range - which also includes hoodies and footwear - but I’m positive it would pass the Beavis and Butt-Head “Cool!” test. And I’m sure fans of the show will be glad to know the t-shirt features the legend “Cornholio 93” on the back. All we need now is a range of King of the Hill jogging pants.Seek: adidas.co.uk/beavis_butthead
