voicesofvirtue18.jpg How much soul? 100%

When World Headquarters’ head honcho Tommy Caulker and the Voices of Virtue Gospel Choir get together, you’ve got a night of unbeatable, blisteringly hot, soul heaven on your hands.

This straight-out-of-the-top-drawer collaboration came about last summer when World Headquarters were asked to create a brand new, and altogether amazing, live soul review featuring Motown and soul hits of the 60s and 70s as one of the headline events for The Great Exhibition of the North celebrations at Sage Gateshead. Leading the charge were special guests the Voices of Virtue Gospel Choir who played with a full band and horn section and well and truly knocked it out of the park with their high-octane classic soul anthems. The sell-out show was more than a bit special and now it’s back, this time coming to the wonderful Wylam Brewery in Exhibition Park which has played host to some truly exceptional nights in conjunction with World Headquarters over the last couple of years. Tommy Caulker and the choir have worked together in picking all the tunes, as well as special arrangements for every song, which will see their full, epic, Great Exhibition of the North show expanded to include even more classics. Forget January being the most dismal of all months. This one’s gonna sizzle.
