Line Gøttsche Dyrholm
Copenhagen’s Line Gøttsche Dyrholm (a woman, if you please) has previously put out interesting stuff with Danish electronic pop band Belle Ville, but her solo debut sees her moving through some very different, and beguiling, pastures. This five-track album is just her and her piano (with added strings and the odd brass flourish) and it is quite, quite lovely. These are songs designed to bewitch, with her piano lines describing deep and romantic arcs while her enigmatic lyrics overflow with arresting imagery. Singing in English, her voice is pitched somewhere between Sarah Blasko and Kathryn Williams and fans of those two artists are sure to find plenty to love here.
