ghostworldraptor.jpg Raptor t-shirt! At last!

Any savvy filmgoer will tell you that this lovely t-shirt was worn by Thora Birch in the 2001 film Ghost World. I’ve waited years to track one down, and now, woo-hoo, I have.

Enid, as played by Thora Birch in Ghost World, is one of the greatest movie characters of all time. A kind of female version of Catcher In The Rye’s Holden Caulfield, she’s a disaffected youth, just out of high-school, and looking for some kind of meaning in life. She does so to a soundtrack of 30s blues, 70s punk and Indian rock and roll, while wearing the best cinematic wardrobe this side of Diane Keaton’s in Annie Hall. We’re talking green tartan skirts, postbox red shirts with fishnets, geometrical patterned tea dresses, prim headbands, sailor outfits, leather sex masks, and this lovely raptor t-shirt. It’s never been made commercially available (a few companies have tried a rough approximation) but Faraday Sings have really nailed it. If you fancy channelling your inner angsty teen, then this is where you need to start…
