Wishing you a Mary Christmas
Just look at Mary Ann Rogers’ pic of seven guinea fowl. I absolutely adore it. It’s teaming with vibrant life and the colours just sing off the canvas. The artist – who lives in Hexham – has long been regarded as one of the foremost wildlife artist in the UK and the open weekends at her gallery are real things of joy. I’m talking log fires, sparkling lights, mulled wine, mince pies, free treats for kids, and a real treasure trove of gorgeous gift ideas. Her paintings and prints take in all manner of wildlife and landscapes, and you’ll also find them on bone china mugs, jugs, teapots, cards, throws, scarves, gift wrap and more. Other local artisan maker’s work will also be available, including Linden Craven jewellery, Ginette’s festive willow wreaths, and Katie’s ram horn lamps with retro fittings…
