Feeling Peaky?

The cultural phenomenon that is ‘Peaky Blinders’ is now an exuberant stage production courtesy of Rambert Dance. It’s coming to Sunderland this October.

Apparently the ‘Peaky Blinders’ film is currently being shot (shot probably being the operative word knowing those Brummie tykes). But fans hankering after a flat-cap fix would be well advised to check out this spectacular production from Rambert Dance. It opens in the trenches of Flanders before the action shifts to post-war Birmingham as the Shelby family navigate the decisions that will determine their fate. The production is given extra oomph by a live on-stage band performing all those iconic tracks from the show from the likes of Nick Cave and Anna Calvi. Hearts will be broken and revenge will be sought…

Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby, 29 October-2 November, Sunderland Empire, 7.30pm (Sat mat 2.30pm), from £13, atgtickets.com/venues/sunderland-empire
