Author! Author!

Rebecca F. Kuang (pictured – author of ‘Yellowface’) will join a star-studded line-up of authors in Durham this October when their annual book festival gets underway.

‘Yellowface’ has been a real phenomenon since it was published last year. An instant Sunday Times bestseller – which follows the misadventures of a failed novelist – it’s prompted much discussion, and its author Rebecca F. Kuang will be on hand at the Durham Book Festival this October to further those

discussions. She’ll be joined by an incredible line-up this year which includes the Booker Prize winning novelist Pat Barker who will be talking about her latest ‘The Voyage Home’. Another Booker winner arrives in the shape of Alan Hollinghurst, and he will be chatting about his first novel in over decade ‘Our Evenings’.

More best-sellers? Cop for Jodi Picoult (who has sold 40 million books) who will be discussing her latest historical novel ‘By Any Other Name’. Sunderland’s Terry Deary has also shifted a few himself and the Horrible Histories author will be presenting his first book for adults ‘A History of Britain in Ten Enemies’. Bridget Jones’ Diary author Helen Fielding will also be on hand as will as David ‘The Damned United’ Peace who will be talking about ‘Munichs: A Novel’, which tells the story of the Munich Air Disaster and Manchester United’s young team. The above is a mere soupçon of everything that’s going on over this action packed four days, so make sure you visit the Durham Book Festival website for the full thrilling programme.
