Jesmond Dene

A narrow wooded valley that follows the river Ouseburn between South Gosforth and Jesmond Vale, the Dene has recently underwent some major changes as part of a £6 million investment by the council. There is also a new state of the art visitor centre and a new cafe located at Millfield House. Improvements have also been made to the wider park including new path surfacing, fencing and railings. One thing that hasn’t changed is the fact that the Dene remains one of the most beautiful spots in Newcastle.
