Independent

Really superb, independent (naturally) venue that stages all manner of music events but a variety of well attended club nights, too. These include Robot which is held every Saturday, Sunderland’s longest running, biggest and best rock and roll disco. Room 1 is where you will find said indie rock and roll while Room 2 is dedicated to electro, d&b, dubstep and techno. Also check out IF (Independent Fridays) which is overflowing with indie, rock, alternative, hip-hop and bass music. Cheap entry and cheap drinks is a bonus.
