Captain Cook's Birthplace Museum

Tuesday to Sunday, 9.30am-4.30pm. Adults £2, concs. & children £1, family ticket £4(2 adults 2 children). This is a fantastic and interactive museum for children and adults alike. It focuses on the life of Captain James Cook, born nearby, and delves into the world of one of history’s greatest navigators through permanent and temporary exhibitions. It goes on to explore into the life of seamen in general and the difficulties attendent upon such a like: the truth behind the wooden legs and bottles of rum.
