Style & Stuff Editorial

lacostelass19.jpg A certain je ne sais quoi

Lacoste is probably more usually associated with sharp men’s fashion but they also do a very neat line in women’s stuff too as evidenced by their Made In France collection.

I don’t know if the ‘Made In France’ range was actually made in France. I mean, it would seem reasonable, but you can never tell with these things. I remember reading about some ‘I’m Backing Britain’ flags that were made in Taiwan. No matter. The range encompasses the colours of the French flag for chic looking t-shirts, polo shirts, sweaters and dresses. And, yes, the collection is for both men and women, but I reckon the women’s stuff looks especially natty. The dress I like comes in navy blue cotton piqué and has a flared mid-length skirt, which has a very retro, anyone-for-tennis feel to it. The polo-shirts also have a vintage sporty look, which will undoubtedly make you the queen of any court (unless the court you happen to be in is one for shoplifting. If that’s the case then I’d advise you to wear something else. Something less tennis-y).
