Forty of the UK’s best young dancers will be descending on Dance City in June for the exhilarating ‘Madhead’ which fuses contemporary dance, physical theatre and hip-hop. It has already won a glittering series of notices (“If this is the future of dance, we’re in safe hands” – Evening Standard) and with little wonder as it has been pulled together by the Olivier Award winning Botis Seva. Inspired by the frenetic energy of youth, Seva’s choreographic style combines with the young dancers’ talent to create this thrilling and unforgettable production. The National Youth Dance Company have established a rare reputation for producing high-quality, critically lauded productions by leading choreographers, including Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Sharon Eyal, Damien Jalet and Jasmin Vardimon, and this production is right up there with the best things they have ever done.
