‘Into the Woods’ at Woodhorn Museum is a fabulous showcase for local artists celebrating trees, forests and all things woody.

Last year Woodhorn scored a big hit with their ‘Open Ocean’ exhibition, which asked local artists to cast their gaze seawards. This time we’re on terra firma with artists peering into the woods to see what they can unearth. Following an open call over 280 artworks were submitted by 130 artists and the best of them have been selected for this wonderful display. One of the judges was Journal Culture Awards Visual Artist of the Year Narbi Price who commented: “The submissions were by turn playful, inquisitive, authoritative and bold. The multidisciplinary selection showcases a genuine inventive spirit and a diverse, thoughtful response to the theme.”
