…and feel all right. The Middlesbrough Reggae Festival is arriving in early May. Get on it!

Is that the sun I can see making an appearance? I rather think that it is you know which is as good a reason as any to crack open the reggae vibes. And really getting ready to party this year is Middlesbrough Reggae Festival who have a superb line-up. Leading the way is The Marley Experience (pictured), the ultimate tribute to the great man who’ll be hitting us up with all the classics. Also on the bill, and fresh from touring with Bad Manners, are The Piragons. This band pay full tribute to the legend that is John Holt and are a real force of nature in the live arena. Adding to the feel-good factor will be Ultimate 40 who will be knocking out the biggest hits of UB40. Throughout the day a fine array of DJs will be spinning an eclectic mix AND there will also be plenty of food to be had – reggae inspired, of course.

Middlesbrough Reggae Festival, Saturday 4 May, The Hub, Teesside University Student Union, 5pm-11.30pm, £17.50 (open to everyone over 18). skiddle.com
