CaroleW Productions are hosting a series of quirky and eclectic shows over a single day at the Cumberland Arms as part of the build up to International Women’s Day.

First up is ‘Opera Mouse’ (2.30pm, £6/£8), a fabulous introduction to opera for children in which you will meet Tilly Mouse who lives under an opera house. Needless to say, she just loves to sing. Next is ‘Stitch in Time: A Knitting Cabaret’ (pictured – 4.30pm, £9/£10) which represents a wonderful opportunity to bring along your needlepoint or knitting and listen to the very nearly lost, knitting songs of World War I & II. Finally ‘Piaf and Brel: The Impossible Concert’ (7pm, £9/£10) tells the tale of the two French favourites whose songs thrummed with heartbreak, love and hope. These three productions take place on Sunday 3 March and they will be followed by a week’s worth of good stuff at the pub in the run up to International Women’s Day on the 8 March, including film nights, a Victoria Wood tribute, a pop-up choir and more.
