Three legends of jungle are swinging into Newcastle as part of their UK wide tour in January and we’re predicting a hot and sweaty climate.

Jungle has always retained its underground cachet, as well as a loyal following of clubbers who regularly throng venues to catch the stars of the genre. And three of the biggest will be in Newcastle towards the back end of January on a country-spanning B2B2B tour. And those three in full? Step forward Serial Killaz (pictured), Ed Solo and Deekline. Serial Killaz are in huge demand and with little wonder as they always turn in foundation-loosening sets that should be filed under “Legendary”. Ed Solo meanwhile has worked with everyone from Roots Manuva to Fatboy Slim to Shy FX and is never happier than when he’s firing up the bassbins and hitting you hard with a dose of ragamuffin junglist energy. He’s also worked with Deekline, the well-regarded British producer and DJ who is steeped in the good stuff. He’s that rare thing in dance music: a seminal producer who manages to balance the cutting edge and the mainstream with effortless flair. Gonna be good? Gonna be fantastic!

Serial Killaz + Ed Solo + Deekline, Friday 25 January, The Riverside, 1 The Close, Newcastle, 11pm-4am, £8. skiddle.com
