xmasglass18.jpg Are you a festive swinger?

The wonderful Glass Yard restaurant situated in the National Glass Centre are running special festive lunches and festive afternoon teas throughout December as well as a couple of evenings of swing.

There are two types of events where you can have enormous fun while swinging and Glass Yard is offering us the very best kind (ie the ones where you keep your car keys in your pocket). They’re holding two Saturday evenings of swing, and no little sparkle, with a special Rat Pack tribute featuring the golden voices of Frank, Sammy and Dean, as well as a four-course feast. And after the warm Christmas puddings with brandy sauces (or baked vanilla cheesecakes with winter berry compote and cinnamon creams) have been cleared away, you’ll be given the chance to throw some shapes on the dance floor. The festive lunches at the restaurant are running throughout December too and are resplendent with spiced parsnip soup, butter roasted turkey crowns, baked fillet of salmon, goats cheese and onion filo bundles, Christmas puddings and more; while the festive afternoon teas (also running throughout December) come with finger sandwiches, scones, fancies and more. Check out all the menus from the website, below.

An evening of Swing and Sparkle, Saturday 8 December and Saturday 15 December, 7pm, £35. Festive lunch, 12-2.30pm, £15 for two courses/£19 for three courses & festive afternoon tea, 2.30pm-4pm, £15/£19 (indulgent package including mulled wine), all through December.
