alstonfair18.jpg It’s Alston Craft Fair!

How are you fixed for three days of quality local crafts, arts, food and music?

This fair first started 25 years back and it still remains a definite ‘Must Visit’ in the run up to Christmas. Why? Because there really can’t be many better places to buy gifts with a difference, or even commission something directly from some of the best designers and makers in the North Pennines. We’re talking ceramics, pottery, glasswear, prints, jewellery, wood, knitwear and textiles galore. There will also be a selection of local food produce (including that all important range of Alston’s own Cumberland honey mustard - yummy). As ever, it’s taking place over a laid-back long weekend that will be lively and full of colour. And yes, the café will be open and serving delicious savouries and sweet delights to tempt the taste buds, while the many talented local musicians in the region will be providing live music throughout the entire weekend. Get to it and pick yourself up something that you’re never going to find on the high street.

Alston Craft Fair, Friday 23-Sunday 25 November, Alston Town Hall, Cumbria, Friday 10am-4pm, Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm. More details: alstonmoorcrafts.org
