protestcoat.jpg Let's talk about winter coats

The new range of coats (or “technical jackets” as they call them) from Protest look great either on the slopes or on the streets (or indeed on sloping streets. I wore mine on Westgate Road the other day and got more than one admiring glance).

This winter it’s all about block colours. How do I know this? Well – like everyone else writing about fashion – I’ve just made it up (or I’ve read an article about block colours written by someone else - who just made it up). But whatever the rules are for coats this autumn/winter, I don’t think you can go too far wrong with the new GeoGreen label from Protest. The “Green” bit of their name is down to all the recycled materials and earth-friendly fabrics that they use (the “Geo” bit? Your guess is as good as mine). They have water repellent zippers (at last!), fully taped seams, storm cuffs (whatever they are), 20k waterproofing and breathable stretch fabric. There’s a few different designs in the range that I could really waffle on about but why don’t you just visit their website and check them out for yourself?
