hotdog18.jpg Hotdog! Goodies galore in Gosforth!

There’s a plethora of good things happening at Gosforth Civic Theatre in October including a heart-warming theatrical piece that comes with hotdogs – and special sauces – as standard.

Nathan and Ida Hardwerker have left the old country to build a better life for themselves in the US. With nothing but a will to succeed, and a secret recipe for sauces, they discover love, dice with danger, and create the hottest hotdogs in town. Will Coney Island love their creations? Will their nemesis Feltman get his hands on their recipe? And will love conquer all? ‘Nathan & Ida’s Hot Dog Stand’ from the redoubtable CarolW Productions has won huge praise wherever it has played, and this feel-good-rom-com is coming to Gosforth Civic Theatre in October, along with a whole load of actual, real life hotdogs, which will be served with three special sauces. Imagine! Also at the theatre on Halloween night is a special screening of the expressionist horror classic ‘The Cabinet of Dr Caligari’, which is being shown with a brand new live score from local musicians and composers Tim Shaw and Calum Howard. Oh my! Get the full lowdown on their autumn programme from the website, below.
