strestaurant18.jpg South Tyneside gets foodie

If you’d like to dine out between the 5-13 October, then, hey, you’re in luck, as the next South Tyneside Restaurant Week will be up and running with special offers galore at a whole raft of eateries.

There’s nothing – NOTHING! – that gets between me and a good restaurant week and South Tyneside does it better than most. They’ve got loads of participating restaurants on board this year who will be offering special set menus at discounted rates. Among the places taking part will be the likes of Mambo Italiano, Star of India, The Sand Dancer, Turkuisine, Bistro Romano, Tuscano’s, The Black Horse and Zeera (that’s their food pictured) as well as top-notch pub venues such as East Boldon’s Beggar’s Bridge. My favourite sweet destination, Ghiaccio Ice Cream & Dessert Lounge, have also pitched in, as has Colmans, my favourite fish and chip shop (both their restaurant on Ocean Road and the wonderful Seafood Temple down on the seafront). Tuck in!
