Sitting in an English garden…
At the time of writing I’ve forgotten what rain actually feels like. It’s been a long hot summer and the only time that I’ve felt in real need of an umbrella was when I was at the Durham Miners’ Gala in July and in desperate need of some portable shade. (Actually, come to think of it, a brolly would have also been very handy for fighting off the wasps that plagued me throughout the day. Tory wasps, obviously.) But as sure as rain, I’m sure the autumn and winter will see the country being deluged under water once again and we’ll all need to whip out some kind of protection. London Undercover are renowned for their umbrellas, and they are all made with the finest materials and high quality craftsmanship. Among their latest range is a Beatles themed selection including this natty Sgt. Pepper effort available in blue for Paul, green for John, pink for Ringo and Red for George – all corresponding to their satin Pepper suit colours. There’s also an apple green brolly, with discrete Beatles logo, and a black number which, appropriately given the nature of some of our downpours, has the word ‘HELP!’ splashed across the top of it.
