nesoundsrobin.jpg You'll hear a bit of this…

NE Sounds have got a new home going by the name of World Headquarters in July and it’s at this hallowed venue that’ll they be bringing us the best in 90s/00s classics. I’m in.

I can put forward a very good case for Robin S’s Let Me Show You Love(pictured) as being the greatest dance song of all time. I can, but I’m not going to do that just here. Instead I’m going to wax lyrical about NE Sounds which has been thrilling up-for-it punters at Ernest for nearly two years. It’s moving to World Headquarters in July and that should be a match made in heaven particularly for anyone in thrall to 90s/00s classics that take in house, garage, techno, disco and trance anthems. You can expect to hear the likes of Robin S (naturally) along with Joey Negro, Nightcrawlers, Faithless, Duck Sauce, The Wise Guys, Eric Prydz, Frankie Knuckles, Daft Punk, Modjo, Disclosure, Artful Dodger, and, well, you get the picture. DJs will include Dan Pyburn (Karma), Calvin Murta (Waxworx/Ricta Discs), Ryan Nagel and Nath Adams.

NE Sounds, Friday 20 July, World Headquarters, Carliol Square, Newcastle, 11pm-3am, £5 (£6 on the door). welovewhq.com
