funnywaytobe18.jpg The Fringe! In Teesdale!

You can grab a huge chunk of Edinburgh Fringe style comedy in Teesdale this July as the Funny Way To Be comedy club have organised four evenings of fun with acts presenting their brand new shows before heading up to Scotland.

It all kicks off with a double bill featuring two comics on the cusp of stardom: Chris Washington and Tom Houghton (1 July). Next up on Saturday 14 and Saturday 21 July are special preview days with four top comics presenting one-hour shows with tickets a fraction of the price of their Edinburgh runs. Each show is £6 or £7 (or you can buy tickets for £20 for all four). On the 14th they have Nick Kumar host of Newsjack and Mash Report, followed by the New York based Alex Edelman, Lucy Pearman (pictured), Edinburgh Best Newcomer Nominee 2017 and Steve Bugeja, winner of the BBC Radio New Comedy Award 2013. On the 21s tthey have Lauren Pattison, Edinburgh Best Newcomer Nominee 2017, Adam Hess, Edinburgh and Chortle multi-award nominee, Tom Wrigglesworgh, Sony Award Winner, and Ed Night, Edinburgh Best Newcomer Nominee 2017. The final show on 28 July shifts gear entirely with Gyles Brandreth presenting an evening of entertainment.
