Shrinking wallflower Bianca Del Rio is back in Newcastle this July with her Blame It On show, where we imagine no quarter will be asked or given. Her tongue is sharper than Stephen Fry’s wit or Cardi B’s rhymes and she’ll be wielding it to devastating effect when Bianca Del Rio blows like a hurricane into Newcastle this July.

The popular winner of the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Del Rio has carved out a real niche for herself on the stand-up circuit with even the New York Times bowing before her magnificence, slapping a “Joan Rivers of the Drag World” label on her. And just like the late, great Joan, she isn’t afraid to use her tongue to lacerate the great and the not so good. This is her third tour, which has been playing to sell out audiences right around the world, and anyone who caught her Rolodex of Hate show will know that they’re in for a real guilty pleasure of a treat. “I am a dirty, nasty, hateful bitch” she will remind the audience as the show begins, but we all know that it’s done in the worst possible taste.

Blame It On: Bianca Del Rio, Wednesday 25 July, Newcastle City Hall, 7.30pm, £40. theatreroyal.co.uk
