hitthenorth18.jpg Hit the North! It's nigh!

The Horrors, Jungle, Peace, Marmozets, British Sea Power, Tom Grennan and Crack faves Pale Waves (pictured) are all playing the Hit The North festival which will be taking over Newcastle in early May. Oh my!

Pale Waves only released their debut EP in March but we’ve already got their name scratched onto our collective pencil case because although they look like they might knock out the dodgiest of goth rock, they’re actually brimming with pop hooks, chutzpah and memorable tunes galore. And they’re just one of the bands worth getting excited about who are playing this year’s Hit The North festival, which, as well as the tip-top bands mentioned above, will also see turns from plenty of local heroes including The Pale White (who were recent Crack cover stars), Detroit Social Club (back with a bang after a hiatus with some stunning new stuff), The Old Pink House (cosmic R&B champions) and more! More! MORE! In all 120 artists will be performing at 15 venues right across Newcastle and you can grab the full line-up, and ticket details, from the website, below.
