recordfairbluejpg.jpg Attention vinyl lovers…

If this woman has a bit, then no doubt she is chomping at it as the next Newcastle Vinyl Record Fair hovers into view.

It’s Record Store Day on Saturday 21 April, a wondrous date when all of the region’s gorgeously independent record shops become laden down with treasures galore (including Bowie, Prince and Courtney Barnett booty), and – by one of those serendipitous coincides that has you questioning whether it hasn’t actually been planned that way – the next Newcastle Vinyl Record Fair is ON THE VERY SAME DAY. It’s taking place at Northumbria University and will feature 70+ tables of vinyl a-go-go as well as CDs, DVDs and plenty of other music collectibles besides. These Newcastle events have become renowned right across the north for the depth and breadth of the stuff up for sale, so if you’re out and about on Record Store Day then make sure that you stick this venue on your route.

Newcastle Vinyl Record Fair, Saturday 21 April, Student Union ‘Domain’, 1st floor ballroom, Northumbria University, Newcastle. Early admission 10am-12pm £3, general admission 12pm-4pm £2.
