Watch the skies!
My last attempts at kite flying were fairly risible with my niece’s Frozen kite spending more time being dragged through the clarts than in the air. By the time I packed it in, Elsa looked less winter princess and more all-in-mud-wrestler. The professionals behind this glorious event however – such as Skyartists and Sky Fantastic - won’t have any such problems and wilbe producing gasps all round when they get their giant lobsters, crabs, fish and more all hanging in the air. Not only that but the various creatures will bob and weave in time to the live music performed by the likes of The Pallas Family, Free J’s and Fusion. There will also be workshops where youngsters will be able to make kites and experience the joys of flying for themselves, and, yes, there will be face-painting, but of course. The future’s looking up.
