magicfest18.jpg Now that’s magic!

Emerging star of magic, and Paul Daniels’ nephew, James Phelan (pictured), is just one of the magicians set to appear at this year’s South Tyneside International Magic Festival.

2018 marks the 15th year that this festival has been up and running and, once again, the organisers have pulled plenty of rabbits out of hats when it comes to their programming. There are no less than three top magicians from Spain appearing this year including Woody Aragon (with his clever and crazy card magic and contagious enthusiasm), Juan Luis Rubiales (don’t blink as he stuns crowds with his extraordinary card and coin work) and Javi Benitez (mixing fun, laughter and mystery he recently “fooled” American legends Penn & Teller with an act he is bringing our way). Tom Stone is also arriving from Sweden, and some of the UK’s top talents will also be in attendance including Andrew Green (noted for his grand scale illusions), Mark James (mixing humour with his skills) and local lad Kennedy (That Mind Reader Guy). There will also be a convention, masterclasses and gala performances.
