fuzzywarbles18.jpg Fuzzy + Warbles = Fuzzy Warbles

Fuzzy Warbles is a free (FREE!) night at Ernest in Newcastle that should cater for all your funk, disco, psyche and hard soul needs; often drawn from the 1960s and 1970s; always on vinyl.

Fuzzy Warbles, then. What’s the gist? “Although vinyl has had a resurgence in recent years,” they tell us, “there has always been a minority of people who have only bought vinyl. The people behind Fuzzy Warbles are part of this minority. Our new venture at Ernest will continue this approach by focusing on dance floor records that have been played and underplayed on the mod, northern, funk and disco scenes.” January’s party will feature DJ sets from Gumbo (resident at Ultimate Choice in Manchester, playing disco, boogie, steppers and modern soul), Stu Wilkinson (former resident at Get Smarter in Newcastle playing rhythm & blues and hard soul) Garry Forster (knocking out Latin) and residents. Sweet.
