Got New Year’s Eve sorted out yet?
Jools Holland’s Annual Hootenanny on New Year’s Eve isn’t actually live, you know. You don’t have to stay in and watch it; you can record it and see it with a takeaway the next day. No: on New Year’s Eve you need to get amongst the action and The Last Hurrah looks set to provide plenty of that for people old enough to know better. Hosted by Sean Rowley (Guilty Pleasures) the music policy is going to be drawn from soul, funk, reggae, disco and more, with a distinct “anything goes as long as it’s good” vibe. Expect a delicious mix of party tunes a-go-go, and if you think that you’re too old for this clubbing malarkey then this night is sure to make you think again. There will also be plenty of street food available, an amazing sound system and great drinks galore. Hurrah!
