mabag17.jpg On the seventh day of Christmas…

…my true love sent to me: seven Indian runner ducks (on one of Mary Ann Rogers’ wonderful bags-for-life). Yep! One of the UK’s foremost wildlife artists is set to stage her famous Christmas open days over three weekends in November and December.

No one can capture the vibrancy of wildlife with such flashing dexterity as Northumberland-based artist Mary Ann Rogers. And the artist – who has won a clutch of awards including ‘Best Selling Published Artist’ from the Fine Art Trade Guild – is gearing up once again for her Christmas open day sessions that are set to take place at her own gallery/home in West Woodburn near Hexham.

Here you can swap the hustle and bustle of the high street for the warmth of a log fire, enjoy a glass of mulled wine or hot chocolate (while the kids dip into the bran tub) and check out Mary Ann’s latest stuff which includes not only beautiful paintings and prints, but cushions, footstools, calendars, diaries, beanie hats, bags, bone china tea-pots, mugs and more.

Guests this year include Carlton Baskets, Linden Craven silver jewellery and “the lovely Kate”, from Northumbrian Flowers and Wreaths, who will be taking orders for her stunning Christmas wreaths. More details on Mary, and her work, from the website, below.
