lifehalloween17.jpg The Undead come to Life

There’s an adults-only ‘Halloween Late’ night taking place at the Life Science Centre on Friday 27 October, which, if this image is anything to go by, should be filed under “Brrr…”

I don’t think we’ve featured an image as disturbing as this in the magazine since we managed to get hold of clandestine pictures taken at Noel Edmunds’ 65th birthday toga party. By way of explanation, Laura Kennedy, event organiser at Life Science Centre, told us: “We’ve taken the concept of an American-style immersive Halloween experience and added that into our Dino Jaws exhibition. Visitors can expect an experience in which our normally family-friendly dinos are out of control – and hungry. Featuring severed limbs, shadows, fog machines and creepy sound effects, it’s going to be a night that’s hard to forget.”

Visitors can also head to the Experiment Zone to investigate a murder and carry out forensic science experiments to identify the killer, and, for those allured by anatomy, there will be live displays of animal organ dissection with Life’s Science Explainers guiding onlookers through the structure of the organs. You can even get hands-on with body parts and try out some dissection for yourself. Crikey! Me? I’ll be heading in the direction of the 4D motion ride for their spooky Dracula animation. What else? Fancy dress, professional make-up artists and plenty of food and booze? You got it!
