rodigan17.jpg Is this man a living legend?

If you like your dub and reggae served up hot and sweaty, then this man is indeed the very definition of a living legend. He is – but of course – David Rodigan and he’s coming to shake World Headquarters to its very foundations in October.

There’s a clip up on World Headquarters’ website of David Rodigan rocking various joints and festivals around the world, which also contains footage of his last appearance in Newcastle. And in this footage the good folk who throng the club have never looked happier. We love him, and, I think it’s fair to say, he loves us too because he always makes time in his busy schedule to journey north and let us bathe in his good vibes. He remains in huge demand right across the planet and his BBC radio show is still a vital listen. If you’ve never been to one of his nights before then you should know that he’ll be hitting you up with the hottest dubplates and classic cuts – taking in all aspects of dub and reggae music – while also breaking the freshest new stuff. As ever when he visits the bar will be open until 5am for a full night of revelry. Thrills will ensue.
