staithscharity17.jpg You shall go to the charity ball

The inaugural Staiths Charity Ball at The Hilton Hotel on the quayside promises all kind of wonders, namely a three-course dinner, complimentary drinks, live music, disco and roulette. Gonna be good!

I’m a sucker for swanky dos at swanky hotels, and this charity ball looks set to be one of THE events of the spring. The evening will kick off with a complimentary glass of fizz and then you can try your luck on the special roulette wheels where you may just bag yourself a laptop.

Live music will come courtesy of Hattie Murdoch (pictured), who we’ve spoken about in glowing terms in the magazine before. One of the finest singer/songwriters to come out of Newcastle in recent years she has a voice as pure as a mountain stream.

Your ticket will also include a three-course meal (with a bottle of wine for each couple), a DJ spinning tunes until 1am, and entry into a prize draw where you could win a 55” TV.

It’s all in aid of Making Winter Warmer (a community group dedicated to supporting the homeless) and the Children’s Heart Unit Fund.

Email the address below for tickets and information on choosing your seat from the latest table/seating plan. Tables seat 8 to 12, but feel free to buy as many, or as few, tickets as you like. (Note: This isn't a black tie-do, just stick a suit or dress on.)

The Staiths Charity Ball, Friday 26 May, The Hilton Hotel, Gateshead, 7pm-1am. Crack readers email staithscharityball@gmail.com and quote CM15 to get tickets for £42.50 (usual price is £50).
