The NewBridge Project’s last ever exhibition at their current location is ‘Moving On Up, Moving On Out’, and it will be packed with celebratory events.

For over six years The NewBridge Project has staged some of the most startling and insightful shows anywhere in the region, and this final exhibition will showcase work by over 80 artist members before they up sticks for pastures new. It will be a constantly fluctuating, multi-headed beast, with space being re-curated daily into something new by artists residing in the communal workspace situated in the gallery.

Alongside the exhibition there will also be a programme of events taking place across the building and studios throughout the month including: Launch Night (with performances from Edwin Li, Greyscale Publications and Wunderbar, Friday 3 February, 6-10pm); Tea & Toast (kick start your day in a different way… Wednesday 8, 15, 22 February & 1 March, 7-10am); School of the Damned, Alternative Art School and Skill Swapping (round table discussion/seminar on alternative art education, Friday 10/Saturday 11 February); Open Studios (an opportunity to meet artists and see inside their studios, Saturday 18 February); Screening Night (selection of short films from artists, Thursday 23 February); and Last Hurrah! (Last ever programme in the current space during the day; Occasion Project presents an event of live art and music between 6.30-8.30pm; NewBridge Leavers Disco with DJs from 8.30pm till late, all on Saturday 4 March).
