SmLook1.jpg Is that a Brigitte Bardot vibe I can detect in the air?

The latest, all kinds of fabulous, collection from Ekaterina Kukhareva sees the London based designer drawing inspiration from the goddess of St. Tropez, Brigitte Bardot.

Ah Brigitte! Sex kitten! Style kitten! Fascist kitten! How we love your ways! (Ok. Maybe not your support for the French National Front. That’s never been very on-trend with us to be honest.) But, whatever her politics, Bardot has always known how to wear a decent frock, of that there can be no doubt. And Ekaterina Kukhareva has drawn on her easy and slinky chic for a spring/summer collection which comprises of beachwear, light dresses, jackets, coats, trousers and matching accessories. The bright clash of colours keeps patterns bold (Geometric! Mosaics! Birds’ wings scales which originate from ancient Egyptian wall paintings!) and will look great either in the back of a sports car or while you’re sauntering along the croisette in Cannes. The collection doesn’t, however, go that well with jackboots.
