mygwork.jpg The LGBT Linkedin, anyone?

Launched last year myGwork promotes diversity and inclusion in the workplace for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

I’m not sure about that name: myGwork. Still, I think Linkedin is pretty ridiculous too, and it doesn’t seem to have done them any harm. It was founded last year by two twins based in London (say “Hi!” to Adrien and Pierre Gaubert) with the aim of operating as a professional networking platform that allows members to have their own profile with CV, search for job opportunities, share experiences, or simply to ask advice through direct interaction with other members on the site. In addition users can also access a list of social events offering them extra offline networking opportunities. Any organisation posting job listings through the site will have an LGBT supportive ethos and a corporate culture of diversity and inclusion. The myGwork blog will also contain LGBT related news articles for members so that they can keep up to date with the latest issues that affect LGBT professionals in the workplace. So there you go.
