Food & Drink Pubs & Bars
Chilton Country Pub & Hotel
Black Boy Road, West Rainton, Houghton le Spring
32-36 Cloth Market, Newcastle
Not much in the way of seating in this loud and lairy establishment which pumps the decibels and lager out in equal measure. Not the place for discussing the finer things in life
One of the busiest establishments in the Bigg Market, City Vaults is a large bar that’s very popular with visiting stag and hen parties. Great spot for football fans with over 30 HD screens. They also have plenty of drink offers on including a beer and burger deal.
A narrow, modern looking establishment which, while not the biggest, is certainly nicely formed, but often devoid of custom.
Eaglescliffe, Stockton On Tees
Consett Rugby Club
A cosy pub away from the hustle and bustle of Front Street located at the rear of the fabulous Grand Hotel.
Positioned on the corner leading up from Jesmond to Heaton, this place is roomy, has a decent size beer garden and also comes complete with relaxing conservatories. It has an excellent reputation for live music (mainly jazz, both national and international).
Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear
A newly refurbished (previously called The Spital House) pub in Spital Tongues, Newcastle. A wide variety of real ales and extensive menu of freshly cooked food, served all day.
Newcastle upon Tyne
Attracting an older crowd, this lively bar is a hot spot for karaoke nights. They’ve even got something called Party Pods which is basically a room you can hire to sing karaoke with your mates. Sounds fabulous doesn’t it… open late.
